Celebrations The celebrations are numerous throughout the year in Monforte and
its parishes.
San Brais, it’s celebrated on February 3rd and it has a
great popular root. The monfortians go up to the San Vicente’s
church to bless spirals and tapes against sore throat.
Carnival, in relation to the Carnival, it’s celebrated the
compadres and comadres Thursday that has a great audience
participation, as well as the comparsas parade organized by the
city council.
Medieval fair, agreeing with the Saturday of glory, a medieval
fair is organized at the monumental zone in Monforte’s old
area.

Easter Tuesday, in this local holiday, the Corporation renews its
votes to the Montserrat Virgin.
Mays, several activities related to this ancient tradition are
made from the Culture Delegation of the Monforte City council.
Districts Celebrations, by a popular initiative, once a year
there are several Monforte’s neighborhoods that perform
their celebrations: San Lazaro, San Antonio, the Carmen
Celebrations, San Jose...
Patron saint celebrations, on August and being the main day the
15th, the activities are numerous and they attract many visitors
in these dates.
